Omaha Schools Foundation Community Grants

The Omaha Schools Foundation is requesting proposals for grant applications from Metropolitan Community Organizations with intentions to develop programs benefiting the students of the Omaha Public Schools. Grants will not be accepted before September 1, 2016. 

The deadline for submitting Community Grants is December 1, 2016, 12:00 NOON. These grants will be reviewed by the Board in December and award winners will be announced in January, 2017. (GRANTS WILL BE REVIEWED AND AWARDED ONCE A YEAR ONLY) Grants will be considered for a 3 year cycle and then not considered for a period of 2 years. Your application must indicate that there is a plan for sustainability.

Classroom Grants

Omaha Schools Foundation Classroom Grants

Each year Omaha Schools Foundation funds grants to enhance both the classroom and real-world experiences of the Omaha Public School Students. Principals and Teachers are asked to submit proposals no later than December 1, 2016, 12:00 pm. Once the Principal Approval Form and application has been completed, fax your application to OSF at 557-2043 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Grant awards will be announced in January, 2017. Grants will be considered for a 3 year cycle and then not considered for a period of 2 years. Your grant application must indicate that there is a plan for sustainability.

2014-2015 Classroom Grants

The OPS Board approved funding for 31 Elementary and High School classroom grants totaling $40,109.38 in the 2015 school year. These grants were submitted to and  reviewed by the OSF Grants Committee, OPS Department of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment and OSF Board of Directors. We would like to congratulate the hard work and creative thinking of these teachers who have designed curriculum and programs which continue to enhance the success of the Omaha Public School students.
