Omaha Schools Foundation Early Childhood Program
The new early childhood program provided by the Omaha Schools Foundation will serve children ages 4-5 and will be available at Picotte and Fullerton Elementary Schools. The philosophy of the early childhood program will mirror that of the Omaha Public Schools District. It will be a parent-pay program and Title 20 will be accepted for qualifying families.
Picotte Elementary – Childcare will be provided by qualified professionals from 6:30 a.m. until the school day begins at 9:05 and from when the school day ends at 3:55 until 6 p.m.
Fullerton Elementary – Childcare will be provided by qualified professionals from 7:00 a.m. until the school day begins at 9:05 and from when the school day ends at 3:55 until 6 p.m.
The instructional day is from 9:05 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. and will be overseen by early childhood certificated teachers and paraprofessionals using “Creative Curriculum.”
First priority will be given to siblings of children at each school, second priority will be given to families in the home attendance area without siblings at the school, and third priority will be given to children outside of the home attendance area. Spots in each pre-Kindergarten classroom are limited. You must be pre-registered to attend. A random selection process will be used to fill available spaces.
