toba inOur accomplished Executive Director, Toba Cohen-Dunning has been elected to the National Schools Foundation's Board of Directors.   Toba is a founding member of the Nebraska Schools Foundation Association, a state affiliate of the NSFA, created last year.

The National SFA Board was looking for members who have a tested and accomplished business model as it is becoming more difficult to raise operational dollars for K-12 education foundations.  The Foundation is very proud of Kids Club and grateful to every single donor who supports our mission.

The Omaha Public Schools Foundation is being recognized more frequently at a national level.  On May 23rd, our director, Ms. Cohen-Dunning has been invited to present a webinar to the membership of the NSFA across the country on the Foundation's public/private partnership model. The Omaha Public Schools Foundation has raised $90m over the last 18 years through the efforts of Dave Van Metre to update/improve athletic facilities across the District.  The work on these projects continues every day.

The Foundation is truly gratedul to the board and the staff of the Omaha Public Schools Foundation. It is through their continued advocacy for us in the community that we are able to continue our mission of supporting the students of this great District.
